The World Series cannot seem to gain any traction in the Orlando television market. The Kansas City Royals’ Game Two victory finished fourth in primetime.
Not even Stetson Hatters pitcher Jacob deGrom starting for the New York Mets helped tune in Orlando viewers away from other programs.
Game Two of the World Series between the New York Mets and Kansas City Royals on FOX garnered only 114,727 viewers locally, finishing fourth in Orlando viewership in primetime.
The Republican Debate on CNBC led Orlando viewership with 273,594 viewers followed by CBS’s reality series Survivor with 161,866 viewers. The Royals’ 7-1 win over the Mets was also edged out by CBS drama Criminal Minds which had 114,727 viewers.
The numbers are down significantly from Game 1 when the World Series garnered 151,039 viewers. Through two games, the World Series is averaging 132,883 viewers in Orlando. Certainly the tight game in Game One on Tuesday helped drive up some viewership, although not by much in Orlando.
Game Three is scheduled for Friday night in New York on FOX with Game Four on Saturday night.
