The Orlando Predators are rounding out their roster heading into the start of the 2016 season in April.
The Orlando Predators will open their 2016 season April 1 in Tampa against the rival Tampa Bay Storm. And so the team is making its final preparations for the season and piecing its roster back together.
The Predators added plenty of talent to their defense signing former All-Arena League players Varmah Sonie, Willie McGinnis, Terence Moore and Donte Paige-Moss. The team also signed all-arena receiver Brandon Thompkins.
Rob Keefe’s team also added veteran offensive lineman Chad Anderson and Arena league veteran defensive lineman Richard Clebert.
Sonie played his first two years with Portland, getting first-team all-arena honors with nine interceptions during his rookie year in 2014. Sonie got a practice squad invite with the Buccaneers and Browns following the past two seasons.
Defensive lineman Willie McGinnis gained consecutive All-Arena honors with the Cleveland Gladiators last season.
“Willie is a high-energy player who excels at getting to the quarterback,” Predators coach Rob Keefe said in a press release. “He has the versatility to play a variety of positions on our defensive front and has a constant motor. He is yet another player who will provide us with a great pass rush in 2016.”
Moore was a first-team All-Arena player last year for the Predators after tackling five interceptions, two pick-sixes and two fumble returns for a touchdown. He had 81.5 tackles for Orlando last year.
