Frank Vogel meets Orlando media

New Head coach Frank Vogel got to talk to the Orlando Media in his press conference Monday afternoon. Vogel was not done with Orlando Media after the press conference.

Frank Vogel was on all three sports stations in Orlando on Monday. Vogel joined Orlando’s 96.9FM The Game’s Drivetime show “Sports RX” with Shot Doctor and Brandon Kravitz.

Vogel joined SportsTalk Florida 1080 AM Orlando’s Tuck and O’Neill Show with Jerry O’Neill and myself, filling in for Mike Tuck.

Vogel joined the Orlando Magic’s flagship station ESPN 580am and Scott Anez’s drivetime show.

Vogel was on ESPN 580 on Monday morning as Vogel was on ESPN’s Radio National Morning show “Mike and Mike” too.

Vogel talked to Mike Greenberg and Mike Golic about his choice to join Orlando, his plans for the team. Vogel’s conversation expanded beyond the Magic as he discussed his departure from the Indiana Pacers, Draymond Green’s groin kick to Steven Adams and the conference finals.

The local radio station interviews were all similar as Vogel discussed working with Rob Hennigan and the roster including specific players like Victor Oladipo, Aaron Gordon, Elfrid Payton and more. Vogel discuss the expectations and more.

The feedback was very positive on all the local radio shows was very positive about the Vogel hire. The other thing that is very clear from all the interviews is Vogel very positive, very energetic and comes off as very likable which should make him a favorite with the local media as well as Magic fans.

One concern when Scott Skiles resigned would be if Magic fans would be excited about the next head coach and effect the interest on the team for next season. Vogel showed on Monday with his media tours that there no reason to be concern anymore.
