UCF continues building recruiting momentum

UCF continues to build recruiting momentum as the team has netted a dozen recruits this month and picked up steam last weekend.

If there is any hint coach Scott Frost has done something new and interesting with UCF in his six months since taking over the job, the fact June has continued to see UCF in the news (for a good reason) should be all anyone needs.

Frost has not even coached a full game — the spring game got mixed reviews but was generally positive in building excitement for the upcoming season — and he is already being hailed as a big revolutionary for the UCF program.

Frost has done a good job building excitement for a team that went 0-12 and opening new doors for UCF by focusing on local talent and recruiting a storm.

It was clear last week when Orlando Sports Daily profiled the early UCF recruiting class. It has continued to get better since then.

The Knights have secured 10 commitments in the last two weeks. June has been an incredibly busy month for UCF.

The latest commitment came from Nebraska quarterback Noah Vedral. The dual-threat quarterback is a three-star prospect and ranked the 28th best dual-threat quarterback in the country.

Twelve of UCF’s 14 commitments have come in June. Frost has kept himself very busy this offseason. And recruits are buying in more and more.

According to 247Sports Composite Rankings, UCF has the 37th best recruiting class in the country at this relatively early stage. That is currently second in the American Conference. There is obviously a long way to go and a lot of this will change as teams catch up and fill out their classes.

UCF though continues to be far out ahead at the moment. And the Knights continue to make a name for themselves out on the recruiting trail. It is a very new path they are going down right now.

And it seems things are only getting better for the Knights.
