UFC Fight Night from the Amway Center is upon us as the big fights get set to take place in the Octagon on center stage in Orlando. We preview the fights.
UFC is preparing for its second nationally broadcasted Fight Night from the Amway Center in Orlando with the headlining fight of Rafael dos Anjos taking on Michael “Cowboy” Cerrone.
The card has several other fights including a battle feature Junior Dos Santos and Michael Oveream n the undercard for the main show. It will be going on late into the evening with some fantastic fights airing primetime on FOX.
The card begins at 4 p.m. on FOX Sports 1 with the preliminary fights.
That includes Florida native Josh Samman fighting Tamdan McCorey. The Miami-born and Tallahassee-trained fighter joined Carson Ingle and Eric Lopez on the Insiders Show on Sports Talk Florida 1080 AM this morning:
Samman has been a part of the MMA scene in Orlando, helping found the Combat Night promotion that stages fights at Tier Night Club. There is a lot of growing interest in MMA in Orlando.
And there will be a lot of interest in the event tonight. The Cerrone-dos Anjos fight has already captured national attention not only because it is a title fight but because the winner has been put in the crosshairs for the UFC’s hottest fighter, Connor McGregor.
Once again, Bruce Buffer, the voice of the UFC on FOX, joined the Insiders Show on Saturday to preview the fights:
